Quality, taste and appeal, temperature, and safety are critical to how Kidssentials delivers its popular programmes. One of the key elements in meeting these goals is the difference in the way Kidssentials serves its lunches. Kidssentials serves food freshly-assembled, on-site minutes before lunch time. Other catering services "pre-package" or "pre-assemble" their meals often to save time and effort, but in doing so quality is often compromised. Kidssentials' processes ensure that meals are assembled and distributed, safely and efficiently preserving the quality, temperature and texture. Examples include: Chicken Burgers - Kidssentials transports the hot, chicken burgers in heat-retentive warmers - while the buns and lettuce are transported separately. The burgers are then assembled on-site, right before serving. The lettuce is crisp and the bun isn't soggy. Macaroni & Cheese - Kidssentials transports the noodles separately from the creamy, cheesy sauce. The two are mixed fresh, on-site only minutes before lunchtime so that the individual textures of the pasta and sauce are maintained resulting in a homestyle, creamy macaroni & cheese. Macaroni and cheese which has been pre-mixed and pre-packaged has had too much time to absorb the sauce resulting in the pasta being 'mushy or lumpy, and no longer creamy.
